As a non-profit research institute, we want to empower everyone to take action against climate change. For us, this means we not only put our findings and results online, e.g. in the form of studies, but we also present them in an engaging, understandable and appealing way.

For this reason, our March newsletter features the MEISTER project, in which we examined the ecological and social impacts of different electric mobility applications. We have visualised the results on our homepage and presented them on a poster. You can learn more about the project below.

In addition, this issue highlights how we are working to combat sexism in the workplace with our gender equality toolkit and the role IKEM is playing in the development of a climate-neutral industrial and commercial area in Lusatia.

Most research projects conclude with the publication of a classic report. This time we took a different approach.

Within the MEISTER project, we investigated the potential of innovative e-mobility applications. We have illustrated the results on our homepage and in the form of a poster.

On 8 March – International Women’s Day – we renewed our commitment to gender equality by announcing our upcoming campaign to combat sexism and gender bias in the workplace. We're launching the crowdfunding campaign with our partners at Ellery Studio to finance production of EQT: The Gender Equality Toolkit for Working Women and Friends.

EQT empowers women and their allies to speak out against gender inequality and drive positive change in the workplace. The toolkit includes a card game, an infographic handbook and an illustrated poster, all of which were created by award-winning artists in cooperation with researchers at IKEM.
